scrivstyme #4

Posted on March 29th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

I survived the drinkcast. I’m not even feeling it anymore. So much for the “she’ll be completely tore up after” idea.  Maybe the “hangover” will kick in later. When does the hangover kick in? I thought it was when the acohol wore off.

As you’ll hear he sounds professional and sober. Totally sober. He said later [...]

April XXL issue

Posted on March 27th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

I read Rod 2.0 Beta. One of my favorite reads actually. On March 21, there was a write up about XXL’s April issue:
The April issue of XXL features a fashion editorial that was produced in Vegas at Mandalay Bay. The layout features the usual assortment of multi-racial hotness that is standard operating procedure at hip-hop [...]

ScrivsTyme Episode 3

Posted on March 25th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

The third episode of ScrivsTyme. I decided to move the podcast here because as you’ll hear, it doesn’t fit on Not Too Geeky. I also began to realize that although I’ve changed, I missed Tyme2BReal. ScrivsTyme fits in better here and I don’t have to hear shit about the adult content in the podcast. Cause [...]

If A-listers stopped blogging for a week

Posted on March 24th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

Dave Winer poses an interesting question:
Wouldn’t it be interesting if every certified A-lister, by convention, didn’t blog during the third week of every month. What if that idea caught on?
Yes Dave, that would be interesting…in an amusing but disastrous type of way.

Memeorandum wouldn’t update for a week (and sites like them).
Many non-bloggers would have nothing [...]

ScrivsTyme #2

Posted on March 17th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

Scrivs wanted to do a podcast before he left out this weekend…yes Scrivs wanted to do a podcast. So worker-bee that I am, he’s partying in Key West and I’m editing a podcast. Go figure.

So you know what I’m laughing about in the podcast, it’s this picture. I can’t look at it, cause I’ll crack [...]

Disclosure revisited

Posted on March 15th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

I’ve talked about disclosure before. While reading a blog recently it began to sound like one huge advertisement. Between that and the conflicting messages in his entries, I decided it needed a little investigating. Before I get into this:
I am not saying people should stop reading his blog.
I am not implying he is doing something [...]

Tyme’s Thoughts: Dave Winer to stop blogging

Posted on March 13th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

EDIT: I kept comments closed on this entry because I knew there would be some drama (there always is) every time I say something nice about Dave Winer. He always ends up doing “something”. This time it seems he’s screwing over Rogers Cadenhead, which of course I don’t agree with if it’s true (according to [...]

Noise = snarky

Posted on March 6th, 2006 by Tyme White in Miscellaneous

Robert Scoble wrote an entry stating he unsubscribed from Memeorandum and is back to reading RSS feeds. He also says:
I miss my RSS reading. Reading RSS makes me smarter, not snarkier. Why? Cause I choose who I’m going to read. Pick smart people to read and you’ll get smarter.
Hint, the smartest people in my RSS [...]

Unconferences

Posted on March 6th, 2006 by Tyme White in Business

Dave Winer asks What is an unconference?:
It’s probably much worse than that. My guess is that if you swapped the people on stage with an equal number chosen at random from the audience, the new panelists would effectively be smarter, because they didn’t have the time to get nervous, to prepare PowerPoint slides, to make [...]
