I know, I said don’t write when you’re mad. I’m breaking that rule and I doubt I’ll regret it plus if I waited to cool off I’d probably be in a grave some place. The problem with online interactions is that people can misunderstand what is said. People with sense will ask for clarification. People with no sense will jump to crazy conclusions, act on them and won’t ask a thing. I have too many of those idiots in my life. And I don’t wanna hear the “it’s none of my business” excuse. If someone thinks I’m doing something completely out of character why the hell don’t they say something?
X-Men Origins: Wolverine & Conflicts of Interest
There are lots of reviews out on X-Men Origins: Wolverine (go see the movie yourself, you can make up you own mind…really you can!). Looking at the movie I thought about Stryker, conflicts of interest and abuse of power…
WCG Ultimate Gamer Season 1 Finale: The Ultimate Showdown
WCG Ultimate Gamer’s season finale. For many they would say the season ending with an unexpected surprise. I say the season ended exactly as it should have. Perfect actually. If you have not seen it, I suggest watching it first, then come on in….
What you believe determines how you behave
I talked about consequences, anticipating the reactions to what you do, karma and change. Those are all entries about the end result of doing something. Let’s talk about why some situations happen in the first place. Swoozie finished a set of videos based on his experience with Sims Online. In Part 1 he explains how [...]
Extending your blog
One of the common questions asked around the internet is whether now is a good time to start a blog and if so, how do you build and expand it? Wayne Sutton wrote about the topic yesterday referencing a conversation we had at the beginning of the year. How do blogs and social media sites [...]
Right back at ya
The other day in World of Warcraft an Alliance player thought he’d be cute and PvP me. He was a lower level and he wouldn’t have won. Instead he hedged the odds in his favor so he couldn’t lose. He waited until I was in a fight, fighting multiple mobs, then used a spell to [...]
Chopped N Skrewed
I came across a song in a weird way yesterday. It’s called Chopped N Skrewed by T-Pain. It’s my new favorite (hope he sings it at his concert next Thursday!). It’s about being screwed over. Here is a piece of the lyric: Have you ever been in the VIP room Of your favorite street club [...]
Open Sesame
There is a saying that people eventually encounter a crossroads in life. It’s a time when you contemplate the options one has in life and can be visualized as one standing on a road that has multiple choices. Do you go left, right or straight? Another visualization is being in a hall with closed doors [...]
Do what you're passionate about. Maybe not.
In my personal experience, when I am working on something I am passionate about, I excel much better than if I’m just “going through the motions” mainly because when I’m passionate about something I’m dedicated but more importantly thorough. To every positive there is a negative (theoretically) and for those that excel doing something they [...]
