Some projects can be exciting. Others can be a complete headache. Is it possible that the problems with some projects are brought on by ourselves? Can they be avoided?

In this article, I take a look at a common problem: starting a project and being unable to finish it because information is missing.

Homer and I pick continue to discuss the iPad, HTML5 and Flash from our previous discussion. Some of the topics discussed were myths concerning Flash and HTML5, the strengths and weaknesses using them, what the iPad is, what it can be used for and who should purchase the iPad.

Smashing Magazine surprised their readers by disabling access to their front page, replacing it with a page recommending the reader buy their book. The text on the page implied Smashing Magazine was having financial issues. From the comments, which opened after I suggested it on Scrivs’ site, it seems as though many purchased the book. Others were confused on how a high traffic site with advertising was having financial issues.

Using Smashing Magazine as an example, I talk about some issues that hopefully can help all business owners. Learning from other companies can save you unnecessary problems later on.

It’s been a while since I’ve done an podcast interview. Since I had loads of questions about web design, I asked Homer Gaines if he would mind answering some questions.
