Things that annoy me: Part 1

I was asked about things that annoy me. Instead of answering in the questions answered entry I posted the other day, I decided to make my response a separate entry. Since I just became by #1.

I named this Part 1 because I receive this question often enough to know there will be a Part 2.

  • People who jump to conclusions – I was on a screen name I do not use often that is kind of racy (I guess). Anyway, I was on that name because it was the quickest one I could think of that was not well known. My Mom was in the hospital last week and is being discharged tomorrow, to a rehabilitation facility (she had pneumonia and isn’t stable on her feet yet to come home). I had to pick out the rehab center, which I couldn’t do chatting a lot. Stop jumping to conclusions – just ask me. Maybe that would be less annoying if I wasn’t single. To avoid hearing it again, I found another name I used to use. Sigh…
  • Everything falls into the category of flirting – I missed the memo on this one. I am often told I am flirting when my mind wasn’t thinking about flirting. I think guys just like my dimples. I wonder if I do flirt would the guy recognize it? Probably not.
  • Online magazines hesitating to publish naked pictures of men – Why the double standard? Hesitate on all of them or publish all of them. (Yes, Aaron Reid’s picture is kind of amusing. Maybe it looks small in comparison to his large build.)
  • People who say they are going but never leave – I detest that. Right along with people who claim they are about to hang up but keep on talking.
  • Sex tapes with no sex – That should be false advertisement. Naked people does not equal sex.
  • Bad porn movies – why bother? I can’t imagine going through all the trouble (especially for the guy – having to stay erect all that time) for a bad movie.
  • People who criticize others but forget their own shit stinks – It is mind blowing to me how many people online tell others (sometimes complete strangers) what to do. As if their opinion actually matters.
  • People who say one thing to your face (to you) and something else behind your back – Here is a tip: if your friend talks about you negatively to their other friends, he/she is not your friend. Never tolerate that. You are being used.
  • People who tell a story and don’t tell the entire story – Every time I bump into this, it never ends well. I always find out I never knew the person in the first place.
  • People blinded by what I have instead of who I am – I’m not into money like that. I recently discovered someone who you’d never know was wealthy but is so laid back and cool. I want to surround myself around those types of people (laid back and cool). of course true friends would be happy for you not jealous of you….
  • Non-social people on social sites – Why are you on a site that encourages people to talk if you don’t respond? OMFG, get off the internet.

That was therapeutic and fun. We all have things that agitate or annoy us. Hopefully you aren’t one to be surrounded by things or people that annoy you. I am rarely annoyed for long. I am fortunately that in my house, there is laughter at least 80% of the time, even through bad times.

My Mom taught me that is how households should be.
